So Chrysler’s list is now public and people are scrambling to find out if they’re a victim or a temporary survivor.
One more interesting advantage to franchising – you can simply publish a franchisee’s name (at the bequest of the Commader in Chief) and tell him and all their employees that their livelihood will now end! Thank you Barack. What else are you going to do? Maybe next you can close hospitals and simply tell the sick and their relatives that they can “check out”?

President Obama didn’t create this situation or the hybrid legal relationship of the franchisor and the franchisee, where the franchisees always get the shaft, as needed, when needed, by Daddy Franchisor.
Our city was really hit hard and PAIN abounds but I just heard on the news that some of the car dealers will fight back. I hope they can and are successful because they are innocents, as Bloody Franchise indicates in his angry outburst.
I’m sure that Chrysler will hurry into bankruptcy to avoid any “termination” obligations owed to those who are being terminated without just cause in violation of their contracts. Some of these dealers claim that they can prove that they are not “under performing” and will fight for survival. But, of course, how do you fight in a recession that looks more like a depression every day for so many.
The red river of blood and pain may yet run over the banks and there are no easy solutions.
